Welcome to Cllr Tweeps

The purpose of this site is find and list the UK’s tweeting councillors, so residents can follow and tweet them. Councillors are list, by local authority, in the council index.

It takes its inspiration from Tweetminster and all the other public Twitter directories and is in its very early stages of development, mainly serving as a directory rather than offering more interactive content.

More features will be added in the coming weeks so let us know what you would like to see by emailing site@CllrTweeps.com.

@CountCulture Part of the stalled v3 was an open API and database so you could do that if you wanted. Is this worth continuing via email? in reply to CountCulture 2010-02-09
@CountCulture Oddly enough, that was one of the options we were discussing, but didn't think you 'hosted' data as such. in reply to CountCulture 2010-02-09
@davebriggs We listed more and were more (sensibly) location based. Most of the (now stalled) development was aimed at 'residents'. in reply to davebriggs 2010-02-09
